Confluence of Missouri and Yellowstone rivers - ND. This was an important river junction in terms of future trade and security of the region. The expedition arrived here on April 25, 1805 and celebrated with a fine meal. It was also a planned reunion point on the return trip. The Lewis party would return by way of the Marias and upper Missouri rivers, Clark by way of Bozeman Pass and the Yellowstone River.
